Biography

Wheatgrass refers to the young grass of the common wheat plant, Triticum aestivum. The juice of Wheatgrass tastes very greeny with strong bitter tones.

Wheatgrass has grown in popularity over the recent years with its health claims and nutritional profile its become a staple with many juicers.

Not all of us live near somewhere that sells freshly grown wheatgrass, but the good thing is that they easy to sprout your own and their cheap too:). You can also go pre-grown trays from online or mail order vendors.

Nutritional Analysis

Wheatgrass is refered to as a superfood or complete food as it has all the nutrients needed to live on. The juice has high levels of amino acids, enzymes, vitamins A, E, C, K and B Complex(including b12), whilst being just as great source of minerals including iron, calcium, magnesium, germanium, sulfur and zinc.
